Great place in Destin to stay with the family; I believe that most of the units are TimeShares. Our condo was a 3/2 with a very small view of the gulf. Most of the people their our week were older. Had lots of activities and a great beach front. Given the opportunity, I would stay at Holiday Beach Resort again.

This idyllic oceanfront resort has 25 low-rise bungalows painted in pretty pastel blues and purples. It’s in Islamorada, a cluster of six islands in the Upper Florida Keys, known as the sport fishing capital of the world. The resort has its own little private manmade beach with just a dozen or so sunbeds and a double hammock among the palms. Fishing docks reach out into the calm turquoise water and you’ll be forgiven for thinking you’re in the Caribbean. There’s a heated freshwater pool and an intimate tiki bar serving cocktails, wine, beer, smoothies and key lime pie. Turn right out of the resort for the Morada Bay Beach Café, famous for its sunset parties, and for Islamorada’s quaint little aquarium, Theater of the Seas. Turn left for Robbie’s, an old Keys-style marina and Islamorada institution where you can hire a fishing boat, or a kayak to explore the mangroves, handfeed the giant tarpon, go snorkelling or tuck into shrimp or blackened grouper at the Hungry Tarpon, a charming beach shack with stunning dockside views.

Originally, entry into the theme park and travel business was a side project of Walt Disney himself. As the Disneylandia project started to become a reality, Walt Disney Productions at Walt’s request set up Disneyland, Inc. (DLI) in 1951 and agreed to a design deal in March 1953 with WED Enterprises (WED), Walt’s personal corporation, which then included what would now be called Disney Imagineering.[CDL 1] With the WED concept designs and prospectus for Disneylandia, Roy Disney in September 1953 met with TV networks in a deal for Disney-produced TV show and Disneyland investment. American Broadcasting-Paramount Theatres (AB-PT) agreed to the Disneyland, Inc. investment. Joining AB-PT as Disneyland investors were Walt Disney Productions (WDP), Western Publishing and Walt Disney.[CDL 2] Walt Disney Productions had the option to repurchase the Walt Disney, WED and Western Publishing shares (31%) by May 1, 1959, for $562,500.

Nestled in the woods on Pond Creek just outside Pensacola is one of the oldest industrial sites in the Southeast: Arcadia. Built in the late Spanish colonial period (1817) and burned in 1855, this water-powered industrial complex had a sawmill, grist mill and slave-labor textile factory before the Civil War. For more information about Arcadia and UWF’s excavations at the site, visit the Arcadia Mill research page. Arcadia has been developed for the public, is handicapped-accessible and hosts thousands of visitors each year. Arcadia House has a wide variety of artifacts on display associated with saw milling and cotton cloth production. The site is deeply wooded with trails which include a swinging bridge over Pond Creek and a long, beautiful boardwalk over the levees which leads visitors to the unique sandstone masonry foundations and old textile plant floors. Arcadia is a wonderful place to enjoy West Florida’s “pioneer” history.

We are often asked if you can buy, say, a 10-day Base Ticket and use it as a 5-day Hopper by visiting two parks per day. The answer is no. You can only enter one park per day with Magic Your Way Base Tickets (the gates will prevent you from entering another park on the same day with that ticket). You must buy the Park Hopper option if you want to go to more than one park per day.
Search for pink shells along the beach at this pastel-colored resort near St. Augustine. Then give in to the kids’ eagerness to splash around the 91,000-square-foot water park, with its lazy river, water flume, and multilevel pool complex. There’s a kids’ club on site and plenty to do in the surrounding area, from taking surf lessons to renting beach cruisers for an afternoon ride and picnic (the concierge desk can supply a bountiful basket).
1-day tickets are subject to price tiers: you have to pay a different price depending on the day of the year you are going, and whether it falls in Value, Regular or Peak season. Multi-day (2-day and longer) tickets are not currently subject to price tiers; days on a multi-day ticket can be used on any day of the year. Disney has announced that price tiers are coming for multi-day tickets, but we don’t yet know exactly how that will work.
Northwest Florida, sometimes referred to as the Panhandle, is known for beach towns, turquoise waters, and family attractions. This area remains less crowded than other parts of the state and easier on the budget. The most popular communities of Pensacola, Destin and Panama City offer museums, aquariums and historic attractions that kids will enjoy. Gulf Islands National Seashore is nearby if the Junior Rangers in the family would like to add to their National Park badge collection.
On June 29, 1957, Disney Production exercised its options to purchase all but AB-PT’s common stock outstanding. This allowed WDP to consolidate DLI into its 1957 annual accounting statements adding four months worth of net profits, $511K. In June 1960, Walt Disney Productions completed the purchase of AB-PT’s share of the company for nearly $7.5 million and its TV contract, and the theme park became a fully owned subsidiary of Walt Disney Productions.[CDL 6] The first Audio-Animatronic attraction, Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, opened at Disneyland in 1963.

Wondeful place to stay. My parents have owned a timeshare here for years and wouldn’t go anyplace else. Very clean, has 2 pools and right on the ocean. We have the largest beach front there. We have continental breaksfasts, lunch by pool a few times a week (hot dogs, nachos, beer, pop), ice cream socials, and they even have a band that plays during the week, in the evening. Love it here!
